Data Storage

CPU, GPU Computing and Data Storage

We operate several GPU workstations to process recorded images already during data collection. These computers typically are each equipped with four latest generation GPUs (e.g., NVIDIA RTX3090 or NVIDIA A6000), 396 GB RAM, 80TB HD and fast scratch disks.

We also store data on RAID6 harddrive clusters, which have a capacity of over a petabyte.

This hardware allows us to perform a first image analysis during data collection. The hardware is also capable to provide 3D reconstructions and model building as service, if desired. However, in its current configuration, the DCI is not able to store your data for a longer period of time. Please organize long-term storage for your data on your own premises.
